For those who plan to travel to other mainland Chinese cities from Hong Kong, Shenzhen airport makes a viable alternative to Hong Kong International Airport. While most cities in China have direct flights to Hong Kong they are much more expensive than flights to Shenzhen as flights between the mainland and Hong Kong are considered to be international flights and hence, priced as such. With good scheduling you can do your international travel through Hong Kong and then connect via buses or ferry to the Shenzhen airport for your domestic needs, but make sure you have your visa ready before you attempt this. The downside is that Shenzhen airport is not quite as efficient or reliable as that of Hong Kong, so flight delays are more common, and information on delays may be more difficult to obtain.

They can be found at the Arrival Luggage Pick-up counter on the first floor, in the middle gate of the Departure Hall on the second floor of Terminal Building A, and at the Arrival Luggage Pick-up counter on the first floor of Terminal Building B.

Restaurants: there are restaurants offering Chinese and western style food both at terminal buildings A and B.

Business Center: located in Terminal Building A opposite Gate 3 on the first floor. The business center in Terminal Building B is face to face with Gate 4 on the first floor.

Police Station: near the Security Inspection Passageway on the second floor of Terminal Building A.

Parking Lots: there are two parking lots in the airport; one is an outdoor parking space, the other is for indoor parking. Usually, parking is free for 15 minutes or less and it costs about CNY10 per hour.
